Who are we?

Contents is made with love for you by Erin, Krista, Ethan, and Erik.

Erin Kissane is a Brooklyn-based editor and content generalist, and the author of The Elements of Content Strategy. She currently leads projects for content strategy consultancy Brain Traffic and was formerly editor of A List Apart magazine, editorial director of Happy Cog Studios, and an independent editor and writer. She blogs sporadically at incisive.nu and is usually on Twitter.

Krista Stevens lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. She’s a merry Automattician, and the editor-in-chief of A List Apart magazine. She blogs occasionally. She posts photos more often. You can find her on Twitter: @kristastevens. She’s quite content to be your weird friend.

Ethan Marcotte is an independent designer/developer who is passionate about beautiful design, elegant code, and the intersection of the two. Recently, Ethan coined the term “responsive web design” to describe a new way of designing for the ever-changing Web and, if given the chance, will natter on excitedly about it—he even went so far as to write a book on the topic. Ethan lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and would like to be an unstoppable robot ninja when he grows up. Beep.

Erik Westra is director of media and events at Brain Traffic and cap’n of Confab: The Content Strategy Conference. In his previous life as a music-industry lackey he was head of promotion and publicity at the Empty Bottle in Chicago and First Avenue in Minneapolis. Additionally, he hoards vinyl, edits Ladies & Gentlemen magazine, and enjoys commemorating the repeal of prohibition. He can be found on Twitter as @erikwestra.
